Buenos Aires, December 8, 2025 – The Union of Justice Employees of the Nation (UEJN) filed a formal complaint exposing one of the most serious scandals in years within the federal judiciary: a network of partisan proselytism, labor harassment, and anti-union activity that, according to the union, operates under the protection of Miguel Hugo Vaca Narvaja, the substitute federal judge of the Electoral Secretariat of Federal Court No. 1. This allegedly occurs during working hours and within a judicial dependency where ballot boxes, electoral documentation, and sensitive materials are manipulated. The union alleges that this political machinery is fed by a system of 'rewards and punishments' administered from the surrogate court: those who adhere to party militancy would be promised job continuity after electoral contracts expire; those who do not—especially UEJN members—would be subject to ridicule, pressure, mistreatment, and a work siege aimed at breaking any union expression. Vaca Narvaja, whose surname has a strong historical anchor with political violence and urban guerrilla warfare, had recently been involved in a conflict by attempting to appoint a person outside the judicial career to a key position in Federal Court No. 3, linked politically to his circle. The UEJN claims to have documentary evidence of these facts, presented to the supervisory authority. The described situation reveals an extremely serious institutional scenario: a federal electoral sphere—supposed to be an absolute guarantee of neutrality—has become, according to testimonies, a clandestine basic unit where union freedom is restricted, political pressure is exerted on workers, and administrative decisions are subordinated to party alignments. The judge's attempt to challenge this was rejected by the Federal Chamber and dismissed by the Supreme Court, exposing internal tensions and questioning his ability to ensure impartiality and respect for procedures. For the union, the combination of intimidation, ideological discipline, and contract manipulation violates not only the Trade Union Associations Law and the National Justice Regulations but also ILO Convention 190 on violence-free workplaces. The union has requested the immediate intervention of the supervisory authority, along with preventive and punitive measures to halt what they define as an alarming deterioration of labor dignity and the credibility of the Judicial Branch. One of the most striking elements of the file is the existence of a WhatsApp group called 'Sotan Boy's,' where employees aligned with the group disseminated images, videos, and mocking messages against judicial workers who are members of the UEJN.
